GENERAL VENUE QUESTIONS

WHAT IS THE MAX CAPACITY OF BELHAVEN? 

 

Depends. Belhaven is designed to cater to many different events and sizes. Call for more information

HOW LONG WILL WE HAVE ACCESS TO THE VENUE FOR WEDDINGS?

 

Depends on package selected. See contract for more information.

WILL THERE BE AN ON-SITE STAFF TO ASSIST US ON WEDDING DAY?

 

Yes.

WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH THE RENTAL OF A BARN?

 

In accordance of the contract, the rental license includes use of the property (barn and pavilion; excluding the ponds), 125 chairs, (10) - 6ft round tables, (4) - 6ft. rectangle tables, our wooden bar, our spools, our whiskey barrels, bathrooms, lawn access parking, lighting, straw and ferns in our rustic potters during duration of rental period. You may request use of the cottages, pews, photo mirror, and other venue items. Additional cost may apply.

CAN WE ADD OUR OWN DECORATIONS TO THE VENUE?

 

Yes. However, the use of nails are prohibited.

ARE SPARKLERS OR CANDLES PERMITTED?

 

Yes.We just ask guest to be cautious.

WILL THERE BE ANOTHER WEDDING OR TOURS THE SAME DAY?

 

No. The venue is reserved for the entire period listed in your contract and is based around the package you selected. 

CAN WE TAKE PHOTOS AROUND THE FARM ON OUR WEDDING DAY?

 

Yes. All of Belhaven is opened to the clients and their guest.

WHAT DOES CLEAN-UP ENTAIL?

 

Clients will be in charge of clean-up for their event. Clean Up includes all trash removed for premises (on the ground and empty trash cans). The floor must also be broom swept. Failure to do so may result in additional fees.

BOOKING QUESTIONS

DO WE NEED TO SCHEDULE A TOUR OR CAN WE JUST STOP BY?

 

You MUST schedule to book a tour. Belhaven is reserved for clients and their guest only on day of events, therefore booking is mandatory. 

HOW DO WE SECURE A DATE?

 

To secure your date, you must put down a non-refundable deposit equaling 1/2 of your total booking cost. The other half is due the day before the event. 

WHEN ARE PAYMENTS DUE AND DO YOU ACCEPT PAYMENT PLANS?

A non-refundable deposit equaling 1/2 of your total booking cost is due to hold your date. The other half is due the day before the event. 

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DOES BELHAVEN ACCEPT?

 

Cash, Credit Card, or Check

DO YOU HAVE ANY TAXES, FEES OR HIDDEN CHARGES?

No. We take pride in being transparent with our pricing.

IS THERE DAY-OF LIABILITY INSURANCE REQUIREMENT?

Yes, through an outside vendor. Please Call For More Information.

CATERING + BAR QUESTIONS

DO YOU HAVE EXCLUSIVE CATERERS? 

 

No, clients may use their own desired caterers. However, we do provide a vendors list if needed. 

DO YOU ALLOW ALCOHOL AND CAN WE BRING OUR OWN?

IS THERE A FOOD AND BEVERAGE OR GUEST COUNT MINIMUM?

 

YES + NO!  There is no food and beverage minimum, but there is a guest count minimum. See Contact for details.

DO WE HAVE TO CHOOSE VENDORS FROM YOUR PREFERRED LIST?

 

No, you do not. We offer the vendors list as a compliment for our clients.
